Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 27, 2026
ImageGather ("we," "our," or "us") operates the image extraction and download tools at this website. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the service, how we use it, and the choices available to you. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the site.
What ImageGather is
ImageGather lets you submit public web page URLs so our servers can fetch HTML, discover image candidates, and help you preview or export selections (for example as a ZIP). We do not require an account for the core workflow. You remain responsible for the URLs you submit and for complying with the sites you access.
Information we process
- URLs you submit. When you run extraction or a download, the target address you provide is sent to our backend so we can request that resource. We do not use those URLs to build a public profile of you or to train third-party AI models.
- Technical request data. Like most websites, our servers receive standard HTTP data such as IP address (often via your network or a reverse proxy), user agent, and timestamps. We use this class of data for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
- Aggregated usage metrics. We maintain internal counters (for example extraction attempts, successful downloads, and errors) grouped at a coarse level (such as by day or by high-level page label). These statistics are not sold and are not used for cross-site advertising.
- Temporary files. Generated archives or intermediate files needed to fulfill a download may be stored for a limited time on the server and then removed according to retention rules described below.
Rate limiting and abuse prevention
To keep the service fair and stable, we apply per-IP limits on certain actions (for example a maximum number of extractions per hour). Limiting logic may store a short-lived record keyed by a one-way hash derived from your IP address and the current time window—not your raw URL history in that cache file.
Cookies and similar technologies
The public tool pages are designed to work without a login. We do not rely on invasive tracking cookies for advertising. If we introduce optional cookies in the future (for example analytics with consent), we will update this policy and the relevant controls on the site.
Third-party sites and content
When you ask us to fetch a page, our servers contact that third party as a normal HTTP client would. Those sites have their own privacy notices and may log our requests. We are not responsible for their practices. Only use ImageGather on pages you are allowed to access and in line with applicable law and site terms.
Retention
Operational logs and temporary export files are kept only as long as needed for reliability, debugging, and fulfillment—typically on the order of hours to days unless law or security requires longer retention. Aggregated counters may persist longer in backups in a non-identifiable form.
Legal bases and sharing
We process the information above to perform the service you request, to protect our infrastructure, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.
Children
ImageGather is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing purposes.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing, or to object to processing. Because we do not operate a full customer account system for the free tool, we may need reasonable information to verify requests related to server logs. Contact us using the details published on the site (or your hosting provider’s abuse channel for the domain) for privacy inquiries.
International visitors
Our servers and processors may be located in countries other than your own. By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred and processed across borders subject to this policy and applicable law.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of ImageGather after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
Contact
For questions about this policy or our data practices, please reach out through the contact method shown on the website (for example a support or legal email once published). Until a dedicated address is listed, inquiries may be sent via your domain registrar’s or host’s published abuse or privacy contact for imagegather.com.
Rules for using the tools are in our Terms of Service.
